To be frank, I was never the studious type.

I found it boring and hard to focus.

My favourite classes were hospitality, human biology and PE studies.

I had no idea what i was going to do after year 12 and I considered applying for patisserie school.

Uni seemed like the normal route. And so, I headed there to commence health sciences.

It ended up holding my interest for only one semester.

I left and went to Tafe to study event management.

I didn’t feel passionate about that either.

After some time off, my mum had suggested studying to become a cosmetic nurse.

I thought, you know what. That sounds like a GREAT idea.

(It’s also probably one of the only times that i’ve actually properly listened to my mum’s advice and taken it onboard, thanks mum!).

I researched the pathway and envisioned the goal.

It aligned with my interests at the time (human biology/science and beauty/cosmetics).

I absolutely LOVE aesthetics. I love the surgical, non-surgical, and dermal. Every thing about it.

The more I learn, the more passionate I become in wanting to educate those who come across my path into the aesthetic world.

Knowledge is empowering.

Which is why I hold patient education as a high value. I even train and mentor other nurses and doctors in the industry.

Many times money comes before care.

And in a fast growing industry I endeavour to ensure that ethical practice still exists.
